Projects
Current Projects
Coalgate Refrigerated Processing Facility, Coalgate, OK (2007)
The Coalgate gas processing facility includes an 80 MMCFD refrigerated cryo with 20,000 hp of inlet and residue compression. The facility also includes gas dehydration and sales metering. The entire project, from conception to commissioning, was managed by Kahuna Ventures and completed in 10 months. Kahuna Operating LLC is currently operating the facility.
Atoka Gas Processing Facility and Gathering System, Atoka, OK (2006)
The Atoka gas processing facility and associated gas gathering pipelines project was engineered designed and constructed under the direction of Kahuna Ventures.
Phase I - Construction of a 3 MMCFD refrigeration plant along with the construction of over 30 miles of gathering pipeline ranging in size from 4 inch through 10 inch.
Phase II - Construction of a 20 MMCFD refrigeration plant to handle the increasing volumes on the gathering system.
Kahuna Operating is currently operating these facilities for the producer.
East Rock Pile Gas Treating Facility
The East Rock Pile gas treating facility is a sour gas treating facility consisting of a 100 gpm DGA Amine unit treating approximately 10 MMCFD of natural gas with roughly 6.0 % CO2 down to pipeline quality gas. The gas is processed at 100 psig and then is sold and transported via pipeline for compression. Kahuna Operating is operating this facility for the producer.
Stanley Gas Gathering and Gas Processing Facility
The Stanley gas gathering system has a designed capacity at build out to flow up to 30 MMCFD of rich gas per day. This gas process facility is slated for completion in late 2007 and is designed for deep cut processing producing marketable liquids for the owner. The facility and the pipelines were engineered and designed by Kahuna Ventures. Ongoing construction is being managed by Kahuna Ventures with system and plant operations slated to be provided by Kahuna Operating as they come on line.
Western Colorado Gas Gathering & Processing Operations
Kahuna Ventures working closely with a natural gas producing client in western Colorado, developed an overall strategy for our clients’ natural gas production field that addressed pipeline gathering systems, compression, natural gas processing, and produced water treatment. Elements evaluated included:
Modeling the natural gas gathering system to determine the appropriate pipe size to support current and future operations including potential field expansion.
Investigating gas compression options considering the client’s economic and environmental constraint.
Evaluating produced water treatment options including re-use and surface discharge
Determining the maximum existing gas processing capacities and when plant expansion would be required.
Kahuna Ventures performed economic evaluations, environmental impact investigations, computer modeling, and worked closely with vendors to determine the appropriate development direction. Kahuna Ventures also handled the detailed engineering and project management as required by the client.
